Top 5 favourite things of the week!

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">1. The gorgeous <b>Luptia Nyong'o</b> is the cover girl for Glamour magazine and this has made my week. The talented actress keeps on winning and continues to challenge the traditional westernised views of beauty. Luptia has been named the new face for <a href="http://www.glamour.com/about/lancome">Lancôme</a>; which happens to be the first time the French cosmetics company has used a black person to front their brand. She's scored the <a href="http://www.people.com/people/package/gallery/0,,20360857_20809145_30141652,00.html">cover</a> of People's Most Beautiful issue making her the second black woman (after Beyonce in 2012) to appear on the front cover of the magazine. One of the most amazing things about Luptia is, there are a generation of young black women all over the world, seeing her on front covers of magazines and winning awards for her achievements making them realise, how beautiful they are too. <a href="http://www.glamour.com/inspired/women-of-the-year/2014/lupita-nyongo">Read</a> her interview with Glamour magazine.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">2.My Motto of the Week - I'm in my thirties and only just starting to realise how important it is to accept change in my life and learn from it. Traditionally I'm not a risk taker and usually not comfortable with change, I was recently made redundant from a job I grew to hate. I was so worried about the redundancy and how I would be able survive without much savings. But little did I know that, the redundancy was a blessing in disguise. Not only did I get to spend quality time with my husband and son, I've now found a job I really enjoy. Had I not been made redundant,  I probably would never of taken the gamble and looked for a new job. So when I finally accepted the redundancy, I was so much happier for it. I genuinely feel my life has become all the better for experiencing and accepting change. So for all my readers, if change is coming your way, don't fear it, just embrace it.</span><br />

Khloe and Kim are currently in the UK because they are the ambassadors for the brand. If anyone knows where the dress is from please let me know!</span><br />

What i really like about Tyme the Infamous is, she makes what she does look so easy and I've gotten a few useful tips from her. </span><br />

Yahoo Wireless festival 2013 - My Top 3 moments

Can you believe the weather is so terrible in June? I thought with <b>Wireless festival 2014</b> taking place in less than one months time, I felt it was only right to remind my <i>urban beauties</i> of my favourite bits from last years event. Now, I've never actually been to one of the events, but since I began blogging, I've always featured the event on my <a href="http://www.wirelessfestival.co.uk/">website</a> due to the number of talented and amazing stars that perform there.</span><br />

Last year, the event took place in London during July and <b>Jay-z </b>and <b>Justin Timberlake </b>were the headline acts. In fact the 3 day event was jam packed with a ton of other  talented performers from the likes of <b>Trey Songz</b> to the legendary group <b>Earth,Wind and Fire</b>. </span><br />

The deadline acts for this year are super hip hop giants, <b>Kanye West</b>, <b>Drake</b> and the super talented <b>Bruno Mars</b>. Also, the event is now taking place in two locations between 4-6th July in London  (Finsbury Park) and Birmingham (Perry Park).  This is obviously great for anyone travelling from up North. The events open from 12 noon and the first acts are expected to start from 13:30... I can't wait </span></div>
