Afro Hair and Beauty Live -Day 1
For those of you living under a rock, the Afro Hair and Beauty Live happened over the weekend.
The event took place at the Islington Business Design Centre in London and was filled with hairstyle demonstrations, fashion shows, makeovers and live entertainment. Most hair care brands targeting of women of colour all over the globe attended this years event.
My best friend and I had a great time at the event, so I thought i'd share my day with you all.
My best friend and I were greeted by this lovely promotional lady who gave us some free samples of Moroccan Argan Oil conditioner. We both can't wait to try it.
We got speaking to this friendly gentleman called John, who happens to run the Sickle Cell Society. He provided us with some fact sheets and leaflets about the illness.
We were then approached by this beautiful model. Her hair and make-up were done by the Josh Hair and Beauty Salon team
We got speaking to this adorable couple who have recently launched Ophir Hair. Its a UK based brand and its definitely worth checking out their website.
I entered the OH TV compettion to win a box set... I hope i win!!
We had a little break to recharge our batteries and watched the Barber competition
We got speaking to the General Manager for Sleek Hair who mentioned 2 new Brazilian and Peruvian hair products Virgin Gold and Remy Couture , the brand just launched at the event.
We met the lovely Kimberley, who is one of the founders of the hair care brand Mixed Chicks, helping people of dual heritage care for their hair.

Cosmetic brand, Kco UK were in the building - They do this cute eyebrow set with a eye brow stencil.
We discovered a new make-up brand from Holland called, Jouvert and they do this BAD ASS "Drama Lash" mascara - i need to get one!
This is one of the Jouvert models wearing the brands make-up.
Rya - V Jewellery was like a candy shop, my best friend and I fell in love with everything she was selling!
I especially love this chain!!!
We then ended the day by watching the Sleek Hair Fashion Show.
