With only two days to go until the highly anticipated Caribbean Fashion Week 2014, I'm really excited to see what new collections burst onto the catwalk from this years designers.
For any of my readers who haven't heard of CFW 2014, its an annual fashion event produced by Pulse, which is a caribbean fashion and entertainment company. The main aim of the event is to showcase emerging talent within the Caribbean, to the global fashion industry.
I also can't wait to check out what items from each collection will be showcased and available to buy from this year's event on the new website ShopCaribbeanFashion.com.
ShopCaribbeanFashion.com website, is an exciting new platform allowing designers to submit a 6-piece capsule of their larger collections to be shown at CFW 2014. These select pieces along with other items from the collection will be available for sale on the ShopCaribbeanFashion.com website. The site is set to go live at the opening night of CFW 2014. How exciting is this!
Last year there were so many amazing catwalk collections, so its great to know that i'm just a click away from owning one of the items I see on the catwalk.
CFW 2014 have also partnered with Jessica Huie, Founder of London agency JH Public Relations (you probably will be more familiar with her multicultural gift card range, Colorblind Cards) and international branding expert, and Kubi Springer to launch the new website, ShopCaribbeanFashion.com.
CFW 2014 will focus on 30 designer collections, but the collections I'm excited to see are:-
1. Alicia Mullings (UK)
Alicia Mullings is a London based designer whose sole purpose is to Empower People by them recieving positive imagery into their psychy through fashion and her Fabric Prints'. Strapline's on her collections include things such as; "Empress" and "i love the motherland." I'm looking forward to seeing her collection. To read more about her visit her website.
2. SuziLee Chambers (Jamaica)
SuziLee is a Jamaican based fashion designer who specialises in creating a BAD ASS swim wear line called LeeAnn Designz for women of all shapes and sizes. I'm excited to see her new creations. Check out out her work.
3. Zadd and Eastman (Trinidad)
Design duo, Omzad Khan and Nigel Eastman hail from Trindad and are the force behind Zadd and Eastman. They've clothed celebrities such as Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child and Grammy award winning artist Dottie Peoples and i can't wait to see what their new collection is going to be like.
For the full list of designers visit the CFW 2014 website.
All I know is, i have to attend next years event!!!
