Aaliyah - Her spirit lives on through her music

When i discovered today,12 years has passed since the beautiful and talented singer, Aaliyah left earth and i felt it was only right to dedicate a post to the lady herself.

The Brooklyn-born singer died in a plane crash on Aug. 25, 2001. She was flying home from the Bahamas, where she was on location filming her "Rock The Boat" music video. She was only 22 years old.

I've always been a  Aaliyah fan right from her "Back & forth " days and i idolised her because she was a pretty girl with SWAG. Not only was she a talented singer but a skilled dancer and actress and I've always wandered what the music game would be like, if it wasn't for her helping to pave the way for the RnB artists of today.

Hot like Fire is one of my favourite Aaliyah tracks and i love the video.

 Her music brought a lot of happiness into my life.
