Top 5 stunnaz of the Week

Now don't be fooled by the title "Stunnaz", to be a stunner, is not purely about how you look and how you dress, the ladies I focus on each week possess more than physical beauty...these ladies are BOSSES. They are making a valuable contribution to the industries they work in and setting a phenomenal example for the younger generation. Don't be fooled by the pretty faces, each lady I feature is a phenomenal woman!!

So check out my weekly round up of the top 5 stunnaz of the week.

1. Ashanti was at Think Like a Man too premiere In New York looking as beautiful as ever in a white jumpsuit, silver accessories and bubble gum pink lips and nails. I'm loving her sleek blonde tresses too.

This lady released her latest album Braveheart through her own independent record label (yes that's correct- her own record label), Written entertainment. This is a great example of setting your own lane and not letting somebody else dictate your journey. And when she's not in the studio making music, she's regularly donating money for sickle cell research and helping out at the Make A Wish Foundation.

2. Rahsheeda from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta looked gorgeous @ Benzino and Thi Thi listening party.

The mother of two looked fabulous in this adorable red skater skirt, denim shirt, gold accessories, blue heels, white moschino clutch & red nails and lips. Her curls look lush too. So when the mother of two isn't at home taking care of her family, she's either in the studio making music or running and managing her accessory and clothing company "I'm Bossy"She's great example of a strong independent woman raising a family but still fulfilling her passions in life.

3. Miss Jourdan Dunn was at London’s Collection Men fashion Week. Jourdan looked so pretty in her jeans, strappy sandals, grey T, black leather with red nails. And her dip dye extensions look fab.

At only 23 this young lady has achieved things people could only dream of, such as; Been the first black model to walk the Prada runway in 10 years, and signed as the face of Maybelline New York in April 2014. Jourdan has always been extremely open about the lack of diversity amongst models in the fashion industry. So how can you not respect her honesty for speaking up about the lack of Women of Colour in the industry. She has definitely left her mark within the fashion industry and this is just the beginning of her career. She is a great example of not settling for anything but the best. Love her!!!

4. Black female writer and director, Amma Asante who hails from London looked effortlessly elegant at the New York premiere of the film Belle, she directed.

Her floor length black satin gown is stunning and her bouncy waves and make-up look incredible.

Some of you may not not of heard of this woman, she's starting to make a name for herself within the film industry. On the closing night of the 2014 Miami International Film Festival, Asante was awarded The Signis Award for her work on Belle. She's been honoured by BAFTA in both Los Angeles and New York as a Brit to Watch. In an industry dominated by middle class white men, Amma is setting the path for any female or woman of colour wanting to become a writer or director. She's a great example of working towards a goal and not setting herself any limits. Keep up the great work Amma and keeping aiming for the sky.

5. Luptia Nyongo’s looked a vision of beauty on the front cover of US vogue magazine.

She burst onto the scene last year and she hasn't looked back. I adore the multi-coloured dress and funky bracelets she's wearing and she's positively glowing. After 12 years a Slave propelled her into the spotlight in 2013, she has managed to challenge all the stereotypical views of western beauty. Now not only has she earned a Academy award for Best Supporting actress in 12 years a Slave making her the 6th black woman to win the award in the 85 years, she was voted Most Beautiful Woman by People magazine. She is a great example of staying true to yourself. She hasn't had to degrade herself, where skimpy clothing or pretend to be anything other than herself, to be the success that she is today. This is a great message to portray for any aspiring actress or singer.
